Open COLON HYDROTHERAPY
Colon Cleansing is a gentle cleansing of the large intestine. At Detonix, we use FDA registered LIBBE devices and water that cycles through a 3-stage filter and is temperature-controlled. The client lies on a table/basin connected to a Colon Cleansing device, with a new disposable rectal nozzle, while water gently circulates into the colon. When slight pressure builds up in the colon, the water can release. As water is flowing out through an illuminated glass viewing tube, you may actually observe your elimination. This process is repeated during the approximately 35-45 minute session.
Colon cleansing offers hydration and can impact the whole digestive system. Where laxatives may irritate the body, the pure water in colon hydrotherapy is a more gentle and efficient way of eliminating toxins and waste. One of the most important benefits of a colonic that distinguishes it from other detoxes, is that it completely rehydrates the body from the inside out.
Open Colonic Process:
- The day you come in, we will provide an orientation regarding the LIBBE Colon Hydrotherapy device and the operation of the colon. You will begin by getting set up comfortably on the device, and though your therapist will check in regularly, you will be left to enjoy your own privacy during the detoxifying process.
- Your therapist will walk you through how the session will proceed. If you have done an enema in the past, this is similar to doing a gentle 3-5 gallon enema over the course of 45-60 minutes.
- We use a nozzle with a diameter between the size of a pencil and your pinky finger. You will sit on the device and insert that nozzle about 1 inch into your rectum, cover up, and lie back on the device. You will sit supine position, on our pre-molded fiberglass table. This is like “doing your business when you were a baby.”
- The therapist will come in and turn on the water and make sure everything is going perfectly. If you ever need assistance, there is a button on the device that serves to call the specialist back into the room.
- After the session is complete, you are likely to feel quite a boost. Every body is different, and every session can be different. You might have cramping which is usually peristalsis (the movement of stool), but there are many people who do not experience any cramping at all. If necessary, warm rice bags are provided to soothe cramping stomachs.
To Prepare for your Colonic Session:
- We recommend not eating anything for at least two hours prior to your colonic appointment, and to hydrate the body regularly before and after your session.
- For new clients, or for clients who have not had a colonic in over a year, we always recommend booking two colonic sessions in a row. We do this because though your first session on day one encourages releases, it mostly rehydrates the body. The colon absorbs the water from the colonic and helps the rehydrated liver to release stored toxins, as well as the small intestine to eliminate stored mucous. This material will move into the colon overnight and during day two. The body eliminates about 80% of its toxins through colon and stool, thus the second day of colonic serves to save the body from reabsorbing those same toxins, and instead flush them out.
The Benefits of Open Colonics:
- The Libbe open system colonic offers the client Increased privacy, as well as a dramatically thinner rectal tube, providing clients with more comfort and reassurance.
- You have more control over the intake and release of fluids and waste, dictated by the tolerance of your colon. This means that the flow of water in and waste out can happen simultaneously during the cleansing process, and this can allow for a far more gentle and natural release.
- The open colonic system is highly recommended for first time clients, as well as clients experiencing constipation.
