closed COLON HYDROTHERAPY

Colon Cleansing is a gentle cleansing of the large intestine. At Detonix, we use Aqua Cleanse devices that use a 3 stage filter and temperature-controlled water. The client lies on a table/basin connected to a Colon Cleansing device, with a new disposable speculum, while water gently circulates into the colon. When slight pressure builds up in the colon, the water can release. As water is flowing out through an illuminated glass viewing tube, you may actually observe your elimination. This process is repeated during the approximately 35-45 minute session.

Colon cleansing offers hydration and can impact the whole digestive system. Where laxatives may irritate the body, the pure water in colon hydrotherapy is a more gentle and efficient way of eliminating toxins and waste. One of the most important benefits of a colonic that distinguishes it from other detoxes, is that it completely rehydrates the body from the inside out.

Closed Colonic Process:

  • The closed colonic process differs from an open colonic in that your therapist will accompany you through the entire procedure, and remain in the room during the session.
  • The speculum for a closed colonic is 1 inch in diameter and 6 inches long, and is connected to both the waste line and the water line. This means that the water and releases will move through the same tube, as opposed to being eliminated into a hole in the open colonic device. You may be asked to lie on your left side in Sim’s position, or on your back in supine position, and though the lubricated speculum is to be self-inserted, the therapist may assist you in the process. She may also do some body or abdominal work to help ensure a comfortable and profitable release.

The Benefits of a Closed Colonic Session:

  • Because the water unable to drip out of the client during a closed colonic session, the client is able to receive a better hydration during fill.
  • Clients often report feeling more of a complete cleanse, and feeling better for more days as a direct result from the colonic.
